(top)A great day with Sam in Chester Arkansas at Quail Mountain. My video is a little rough but the dog was great!

I got Jade 8 months ago from Sassafras pass Kennels; she has been more than I could hope for. Not only is a great bird dog but a great addition to the family. Sassafras Pass not only sold me a great started dog, they also included teaching me how to handle her. They really take the time and care to ensure the best for the dogs. Jade will be a finished dog in 6 to 8 months. My training I’m sure will take longer!! If your looking for a great bird dog, or want your dog trained,Sassafras Pass Kennel is the place to go!

I purchased my first Brittany from Sassafras Pass Kennels over five years ago. A started pup that was productive in the field at eight months. I was so pleased that less than a year later I bought another one who proved to be even better than the first.  My hunting buddy of over twenty-five years also has to two Brits from this kennel and all of these dogs have provided endless hours of enjoyment in the field. These dogs have great enthusiasm, excellent ability, and true bird finding skills. They are also true "all day" hunters.  After some years of experience, they have become rock steady on point and steady to flush.  And like all good Brittany's, they are great companions in the field and at home. An additional benefit to doing business with Sassafras Pass Kennels is the friendship I have developed with the owner and his wife.  As a result, I have had the chance to hunt over many of his dogs and all demonstrate the same exceptional qualities. If you're looking for the best rewards in bird hunting---great dog work---your search is over.  I guarantee you this is the place to find it.

I first met the owners at SPK over six years ago. I answered an ad I had seen in a sporting goods store, "Brittany Pups For Sale". I bought Max in March of 2001. That fall season, he was amazing. He hunted and did some things like he was a 3 yr. old. During the off-season, due to my bad habits, Max got a little lazy and didn't bust the cover like he did as a pup. The owners always kept in touch by phone checking on Max's progress. I told them the problem I was having with Max and they said to bring him out and they would put him on some birds and check him out. They kept him at his kennel and worked him and in about a month Max was "back". I take him back every fall before hunting season for a tune-up. I've since acquired Yogi who is one of Max's sons. He shows a lot of promise and he will also get to go with Max to SPK for an annual tune-up.If you are a hunter like me and don't have the time or skills to properly train and maintain your dog I would highly recommend using Sassafras Pass Kennels.
